Spy
I loved this film and really enjoyed it, I wrote about this film in a previous blogpost so go look it up!
This film has a Netflix TV series coming out this year so I decided to watch the film when I saw it had been added to Netflix in prep for the TV show. It has a pretty good cast of Paul Rudd (who i'm excited to see as Ant-man) and Amy Poehler (who I worship) amongst others so I knew it was going to be funny. The film is based around the workers at an American Summer camp where it is the last day of camp and they are all making the most of their time together before the exciting Talent Show to end their time at camp. The film had its funny elements and it was a bit like a spoof, as everything happened in one day and it was ALOT! I would watch the film again and i'm looking forward to the series but it could have been funnier.
Kill Your Darlings
I'm not really sure how I feel about this movie. I really liked it but at the same time I found it to be abit boring and dragged out unnecessarily. The film is based on true events that happened to a group of poets and how a death and the aftermath affected both their lives and their writing. I don't think I would watch it again but I did enjoy it. I loved the acting and the actors, so it was worth watching just for that!
Those are the films of June
Chelsey :) x
